Problem Fitting N30

I may have figured something out. Maybe, not for sure.

I have been having lots of large leaks with ResMed N30 mask. OSCAR says leaks over redline ranging from 30% to 50% of the time. This evening, a light bulb went on. I have been wearing the mask such that the exhaust tube points outward horizontally, with the bottom side of the cushion NOT touching the upper lip. PERHAPS (just maybe) the bottom of the cushion should rest on the upper lip, so that the tube points down rather than out. Does anyone have any ideas on this?

I think I will try that tonight and see what happens.

An absolute failure last night. Large leak 37+% of the time per OSCAR. I don't want to give up on this mask because it's comfortable to wear and I get low AHI with it. But leaks are simply too large. And yes I have used the sizing gauge and watched several videos about fitting the mask. BTW, I run Mask Fit and always get the green face.

Have you tried a different size cushion.

Really unfortunate the N30 doesn't come in fitpack.

@ DogSlobber, the ResMed N30 official fit gauge says I am right on the borderline between Small and Medium, so I tried both and the results are similar. I have switched out the tube to eliminate that as a possible source of leaks.
