Hello. My doctor is insisting I restart my CPAP and Oxygen therapy, and I am going to. (Please no judgement, I know I should have never stopped) I have used my oximeter during sleep the last couple of nights. My husband has been downloading the information for me because he has Windows 10 and I have Linux. After discovering OSCAR (thank you to the developers) I attempted to connect my oximeter to my laptop. OSCAR can not see the oximeter attached. I have tried various ways, I have tried starting the program and then turning on the oximeter and I have also tried turning on the oximeter and then starting the program. I have searched the board and Google for over an hour this morning and can find no way to fix this. (I have seen a couple of threads with the same issue but no solution that works for me.) Can anyone help me?
Also, my CMS50D+ is an older model, I know I have had it for at least 9 years.
eta = this line in instructions..."Important Notes: For OSCAR to be able to locate and read directly from your Oximeter device, you need to ensure the correct device drivers (eg. USB to Serial UART) have been installed on your computer. For more information about this, click here."
The link goes to a 404 error
2nd edit = I did find the driver but cannot figure out how to install it, I guess it is hopeless

Exercising would be so much more rewarding if calories screamed when you burned them!

Re: Help getting my CMS50D+ to connect to OSCAR
your oximeter does not connect to oscar. you run the disk that came with it to set up the spo program. you download your data to spo and when you run oscar it finds your data ans imports it.

Re: Help getting my CMS50D+ to connect to OSCAR
then Why does OSCAR specifically have a button that says it connects to the device and then searches for said device? Seems quite confusing to have that written in the program if it does not connectgreatunclebill wrote: ↑Tue Dec 08, 2020 12:27 pmyour oximeter does not connect to oscar. you run the disk that came with it to set up the spo program. you download your data to spo and when you run oscar it finds your data ans imports it.
and of course it says in the instruction screen = ."Important Notes: For OSCAR to be able to locate and read directly from your Oximeter device, you need to ensure the correct device drivers (eg. asking again as no one has replied. Surely someone on this forum knows how to do this.??? The function clearly exists, (see screenshots) I just cannot make it work on Linux

I would ask "Bonjour" either via a PM or on the Oscar thread:

I never tried it when I had a similar device. I aways imported into the Contec software, then Imported that file into Sleepyhead.

Hi Wildkat,
Did you ever manage to get this working? I'm running into the same problem. I've installed the driver (though I'm not convinced that's even necessary) but I can't get OSCAR to detect the oximeter.
