Post uppp cpap

Post by Mikeadoo500 » Fri Nov 13, 2020 9:59 am

Hey everybody I had uppp last november(unfortunately) and am now struggling completely with pap. I find it hard to breathe in weirdly enough and I am worried the survey may have altered my nasal airway or the palatial seal and made cpap next to impossible
I use a dream station and have several masks f10 vitera etc etc and cant get anything to work. I am wondering if anybody has survived uppp and made pap work and what they did
Any recommendations appreciated

Hello, Mike. Sorry to hear you're feeling as though it's hard to breathe in. Do you have a laptop or desktop computer? If so, your best next step is to download the Oscar software (see link below), import data from the SD card in your machine, and post a screenshot of a daily chart. That may well give people some clues about what is going on.
Oscar software is available at https://www.sleepfiles.com/OSCAR/

I had UPPP surgery over twenty years ago and have been using a bi-level machine for over five years. I had a little trouble adjusting to the machine when I first started treatment, and it took me about a week to be able to use the machine all night. I have used it ever since except for a few days when my machine quite on me and when asthma medication kept me up most of the night and I dozed in a recliner. I have used a full face mask ever since I first started. I have tried sever nasal pillow and nasal masks but gave them up after trying each one for a couple nights.
