Can So Clean sanitize a medical face mask, if it shorts out and burns the mask up. The dirt will still be there though! Jim

There are no actual tests to evaluate whether or not that is possible.

The bullfrog sprayed hand sanitizer on his face mask--then put it on before it dried.
That doesn't work either.
Reusable cloth masks should be machine washed on HOT.
Do that.
Do NOT buy a Soclean--that would be STUPID.

It's certainly not a 'set it and forget it' thing, and can't be used if there are metal nose strips in the mask.

I have been making masks with a removable nose strip--either a big paper clip or a bobby pin.
I believe I may try the microwave--with a wee bit of vodka in the water.

My suggestion for this point in time is not to make any unproven claims anywhere about any device being effective against the virus if you enjoy living your life free of a visit from the feds.

Here is a recent previous thread on this forum that may shed some light on the subject.
Long-story short, most of us agree this product is bogus, probably even harmful.
It's a great question though.

If you're talking about N95 masks, they are not made to be reused.
If you're talking about cloth masks, simply wash them.
