yes! our doctor practices there. it's about a half hour drive, so that's good. a shade closer than bellingham.

Gramps and I each got the Pfizer vaccine yesterday.

So pfar, no side effects. We are both pfeeling pfine. In pfact, we woke up this morning pfeeling pfantastic. There is no sign of pfever so pfar.

Where did you get it at? I have been watching here where I live because I want my mom who is 88 to get it before I worry about myself.
So far I can't find anyplace around here doing it for those people yet...they are still limiting to healthcare workers and nursing home residents (and my mom isn't in a nursing home).

I guess you are snow birds...it's snowing right now in my non snow bird Missouri land. I am sure you feel real sorry for me because the weatherman lied.....again.

Knowing how the Missouri government doesn't work...maybe we will have access to the vaccine next summer. No one knows anything around here.

Pretty much the same here. All Gramps and I know is that we are in Phase 2 with millions of people ahead of us. We don't know where we can eventually get the vaccine. Our family physician is in a local practice that is a subsidiary of a medium-sized local hospital. This hospital was one of the last to get the first shipments of Pfizer vaccines. We are prepared to drive to a larger city if we can find the vaccine sooner.

We've been talking to one of cpaptalk's members who was vaccinated with both doses in August as a volunteer in the Pfizer trial. He's already wondering if he will be able to get a booster in August 2021. It's unknown yet, but a lot of doctors are expecting an annual booster to be needed. Let's hope protection lasts longer than that!

I am actually expecting a need for boosters or slightly altered annual vaccine similar to how we do the flu shot each year...I hope I am wrong but it wouldn't surprise me for 2 reasons.
1...we don't know how long the protection lasts and won't know for quite a while
2...the mutations that are likely to happen...I expect more of them in the future and it may come to the point that they mutate so much a different vaccine might be needed.

I hope I am wrong but prepared for the outcome just in case. It is what it is. I have been the voice of doom and gloom to my husband since all this began...and every time I said "I hope I am wrong"....I have been proven right....I am so hoping that I am wrong this time.
My luck needs to change.
