Post by mets123 » Fri Jan 17, 2020 1:34 pm

Anyone use the Knightsbridge CPAP chin strap? Saw it online and it looks interesting. Anyone who uses it have any feedback? Is it worth getting?
Thanks

It's similar to this which is the pap cap and looks more comfortable https://pur-sleep.com/products/pap-cap-chinstra-p I tried it before I went to a full face and it worked pretty good.

I tried the papcap, which was too large and slipped forward over my eyebrows.
so I hacked a premade bikers' bandanna with cotton strips from my stash.
That worked beautifully.
I find the "Dannas" at Menards pretty reasonable-
--and I don't have to tip over a hog and run like heck.

I have one. As far as diameter, it's the perfect fit, but it slides down over my eyes shortly after I get into bed.

Have one, it works great, however for me wearing a P30i, it transmits some sound of air flow through the tubes down the side of the head. If you wear a top hose mask, be aware of that. Probably could get used to it over time.

For me the Knightsbridge Dual Band works great. Basically it's the only one that actually works as far as I can tell, and it's comfortable. Because it lifts from under the jaw. All the other ones wrap around the tip of your chin and push your jaw into the joint. It takes a little experimentation to figure out how to use the two bands though. The trick is to make the nonelastic one pretty snug and then don't have the elastic one apply much force. Solved my mouth leaks problem.

Tried it for a while and then returned it. I found it very uncomfortable and really hot to wear.

I have trouble keeping it from sliding over my eyes. The tabs that partially cover my ears hurt too. Maybe I need a smaller one but I ordered by measuring my head. It works well until it slides forward, than my mouth opens. I am using the supreme chin strap now. I got it on Amazon for $8.99. I had to lengthen one of the straps to make it work, but now its the best I've tried.

I tried to use the Knightsbridge strap. It worked but it was very uncomfortable to me, made my forehead itch, and also made me grind my teeth (obviously this doesn't happen to most people). I recently tried the pap cap, mentioned in the quote below. It does slide down every once in a while but so far it works great and doesn't cause any other problems. I have only had it about two weeks so I don't know if it holds up as well as the Knightsbridge.
