Oscar/Sleepyhead Issues
Oscar/Sleepyhead Issues
I have had a computer crash and had to reinstall operating system/files/etc. Reinstalled Sleepyhead and installed Oscar. Imported data to both from S9. Only get summaries on both, no graphs. Data not saved. Have to import again each time I want to view. Oscar only imports to 12/08/2019; Sleepyhead imports to current day. Suggestions as to causes/solutions? Thanks.
Re: Oscar/Sleepyhead Issues
The software can only import the detailed data that is on the SD card.
With S9 model machines the detailed data (those graphs especially) are overwritten after 7 days for some files and 30 days for the rest of the detailed data files.
So you simply don't have the old data available on the SD card to import.
Nothing you can do about it. You have some sort of summary data available for the dates over 30 days past.
SleepyHead/OSCAR needs some of the detailed files to compute some of the summary as well as the detailed data stuff that are now missing because of the overwriting of the files. Some of the overview graphs will be missing...the older graphs will be missing.
It is what it is and nothing you can do about it because the detailed data files needed simply aren't on the SD card.

Get OSCAR
Accounts to put on the foe list: dataq1, clownbell, gearchange, lynninnj, mper!?, DreamDiver, Geer1, almostadoctor, sleepgeek, ajack, stom, mogy, D.H., They often post misleading, timewasting stuff.

Where did you put your Oscar data directory?
I let Oscar select the directory (C:\documents/Oscar data). The file headings are there, but each one shows "empty".

It has been some time since I used Sleepy Head, but when I did it saved the imported data on my computer (summaries, daily, graphs, etc). Even if it overwrites after 7 days, then it seems as if there would be 7 days of detailed data, including graphs. Oscar is strange because it only shows data (summaries) to Dec 8, 2019. Sleepy Head at least shows data to the present import day, Neither program saves the dats to my computer.

Re: Oscar/Sleepyhead Issues
It wouldn't be impossible for your S9 to have an issue writing the the SD card...it also wouldn't be impossible for the SD card to be bad now.
Have you tried a new SD card?
The SD card MUST be in the machine to have the detailed data files put on the SD card.
You can always use ResScan (but it's Windows only software) to see if the problem is the machine, card or just the software (SH/OSCAR) wanting to act up on your computer.

Re: Oscar/Sleepyhead Issues
You can find instructions on how to obtain ResScan over at the apneaboard forum.
http://www.apneaboard.com/forums/
You do have to register and be logged in though to find the instructions. It's in a member only hidden section.
The instructions on what to do to get it are in there.
I can't give you the download link because it gets moved around a lot and I just don't have the time to keep up with it but they have someone over there that does keep up with it.
Don't get version 6.0 (or later if there is a later). Get 5.9 version instead.
With 6.0 there is some new log in password crap stuff that everyone was bitching about and making ResScan an even more of a PITA than it already is.
I haven't bothered with anything beyond 5.9 version and won't until if/when I have a machine that just won't work with 5.9 and I am forced to get later version.
