Nasal cushion for P10?

Post by The_Tool_Man » Mon Oct 28, 2019 9:34 pm

So far the mask I’ve had the most success with is the ResMed P10. I’m confident I have the right size pillow, but my nostrils are still sore from using it. I tried the Dreamwear nasal cushion and didn’t get as good of sleep because of the frame, but my nose felt great using the cushion, rather than a pillow. Is there a mask like the P10 that uses a cushion? Something very minimalist.

So new it's unlikely that anyone has had a chance to get it and try it.

may i suggest using lansinoh? it's lanolin cream used by nursing mothers for sore nipples. find it in the infant care section of the grocery store. it softens up your beak plus it has a slight tackiness to it to help it seal to the nose.
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

Wow. That’s perfect. Wonder how long until one pops up on eBay? I can’t afford it at full price.

How new is your uncomfortable P10 mask? More specifically, how new is the headband? Do you have a big head?

I find that a new headband quite forcefully pulls the pillows into my nostrils. By morning I definitely have discomfort and redness in my nostrils. There is about an inch of length difference between an old stretched headband and a new one.

I haven't figured out an easy way to stretch a new band.

The effing morons at ResMed who "designed" this band are prime examples of the stupidity pervading most consumer products. It's like socks. No, once size doesn't fit all for men's socks, either.

Belatedly ResMed realized that people with smaller heads needed a little clip to shorten the band. So they started including that. But they still haven't solved the problem of too tight bands for people with larger heads or a lot of hair.

If you feel that your pillows are being pulled too snugly into your nostrils, do some searching here and on apneaboard. There have been some discussions on how to lengthen the band. But, alas, it involves cutting and repairing.
