BACK IN THE SADDLE

Post by KTinTexas » Sun Jul 21, 2019 12:10 pm

Just wanted to report that I'm BACK. Started CPAP treatment in Feb. 2017. On it a little over a year - didn't do so well. I just couldn't keep my mask on. Because of insurance issues and timing, I was off it for awhile. Finally got to an actual sleep specialist clinic. They put me on a Bipap with a nasal mask. I tried going back to my old nasal pillows mask but noticed my AHIs were greater. So, using the nasal mask they gave me at the clinic and doing better, but still have trouble keeping the mask on all night. I'm noting greater and greater times, though. Trying to stick to it and hoping for longer times - longest so far has been 4 and 1/2 hours. I'm using an Airfit N20 and it's nice but I don't like that I can't wear my reading glasses with it. So, may try another nasal mask with better field of vision. ALSO sudden problem with itchy scalp where the straps touch my head. I've never had that problem before.

One more thing: I've noticed really feeling better some mornings. That didn't before - makes me feel very hopeful.

Wrap something (plain cotton) around the gear where you itch... should help.
