Dog Slobber: Thanks for your information and reply. It's amazing to me that you remember what I'm working with when you respond to so many. Much appreciated. Have a great holiday!
My holiday was Monday (Canada Day), but thank you. Happy fourth to you though.

I am, but I'm guessing had I been from somewhere else, I'd enjoy it there too. Unless of course it was Flagstaff (AZ).

BTW, thanks for Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green, that worked out real nice. But then again, being in Texas you might prefer the Mavs, or not care for basketball at all.

djams: what is "normal" APAP mode? I thought I was in APAP. I see three settings: CPAP, Autoset, Autoset for Her.
Also what does it mean/would it mean if my "pressures were optimized?"
Not "for her" mode.

Lower ahi,better sleep.

DogSlobber read my mind and replied perfectly. I also want to congratulate you on the leak improvement!

Regarding "for her" mode; over the time I've been here there's been numerous discussions about for her mode making mountains out of mole hills in the flow rate chart. Meaning compared to normal auto adjusting PAP mode the flow limitations seem amplified in some cases. Since you jump right up to your max pressure and stay right up there, your therapy will be the same. The most significant difference is the establishment of a new minimum pressure if you meet the criteria. You might get to the max a little more quickly too.

Is the sports press up there talking about anything but Kawhi right now? How about you - think he's going to stay?

Two dominant stories:
  • Kawhi
Some sports media are reporting a leak that he's agreed to stay on a two year contract. I'm cautiously optimistic.
  • Hockey
Yeah it's July, but it's what we do
  • Blue Jays
Nobody's talking about them. Absolute crap

Back on topic for bjhunt01, so Pugsy won't warn me about dragging a therapy topic off-topic.

Put your mask on good. Do good CPAP.

Re: establishment of a new minimum pressure - would that minimum be going lower or higher with normal Autoset?
It is the "For Her" mode that sets a new (higher) minimum pressure. Here's the info from the clinical guide:

AutoSet for Her mode

AutoSet for Her mode is based on key aspects of ResMed’s AutoSet algorithm and delivers therapeutic responses tailored to the characteristics of female OSA patients.
The AutoSet for Her is similar to ResMed’s AutoSet algorithm with the following modifications:
  • Reduced rate of pressure increments designed to help prevent arousals.
  • Slower pressure decays.
  • Treats apneas up to 12 cm H2O and continues to respond to flow limitation and snore up to 20 cm H2O.
  • Minimum pressure (Min. Pressure) that adjusts according to the frequency of apneas:
If two apneas occur within a minute, the pressure reached in response to the second apnea will become the new minimum treatment pressure until the next treatment session.

So I have a question based on reading this. SInce I am an easily awakened person, and this says "......designed to prevent arousals" can you help me understand your suggestion to go to the straight AutoSet? I are cornfused!
