Resmed slimline vs heated tubing
Resmed slimline vs heated tubing
Is resmed slimline tube heated tube?
By invoice shows heated humidifier tube, But the tube looked different from what I have seen online and it says slimline at the connector.

Re: Resmed slimline vs heated tubing
ResMed heated hoses are slimline unless you get a specialty heated hose with an oxygen adapter and those hoses have a larger diameter so not technically "slim".
ResMed also makes a slimline hose that is not heated.
If you don't have electrical connections at the humidifier/machine level...you didn't get a heated hose.
You have to have some power to the heater coils in the hose.
If you didn't get the heated hose...call up your provider and request it....they charged you and/or your insurance for a heated hose and they do cost more than the non heated hoses.
It is very possible that you did get a slimline hose (refers to hose diameter) that is a non heated hose.

The climateline heated hose has an electrical connection the slimline does not. Should be easy to tell them apart.

Re: Resmed slimline vs heated tubing
The slimline tube is not a heated tube. The Resmed heated tube is the Climateline hose. You will see electrical contact on the end of the hose that hooks to the machine. This same end terminates with an elbow, not a straight connector like the opposite end of the tube.

Thank you for quick responses. I am not going to delay the therapy and start using what I have received. I have sent them a picture of what I received vs what I was billed for/I had asked for. Hopefully they will resolve it, or else I will buy a tube online.
Re: Resmed slimline vs heated tubing
Heated tubes/hoses are mainly comfort items so that you don't get water condensing in the hose or mask. Won't hurt you but it's highly annoying when that happens.
No reason to not use the hose you have right now. If you get some water forming in the hose...we can give you some hints on how to stop it even without a heated hose.

1. Just received this message from Resmed, so looks like there won't be any reporting tonight. Will talk to the DME tomorrow about this message.
2. Does airsense 10 autoset not come with a sd card? Do I need to buy that from aftermarket.

Re: Resmed slimline vs heated tubing
It is not at all unusual for the machine to not have the SD card. I don't know if the DME takes them out, or if they no longer include them. The three new machines we have received had the cards included with them. The machine picked up used also had the original SD card in it. If your machine does not have one in it, pick up one at Walmart. Any size card will work in the machine.

Re: Resmed slimline vs heated tubing
The newer Airsense models do not come with SD cards. They have cellular modems which allow your DME or doctor to access your data. If you want an SD card they are available anywhere for about $10.

Re: Resmed slimline vs heated tubing
2 years ago my ResMed that has the cellular modem came with an SD card. The DME was going to keep it until I insisted my doctor told me to bring in the SD card.
I just checked on CPAP.com and the machine comes with an SD card.

On the back of the machine, the serial number will start with 22 or 23. The next 2 numbers indicate the year of manufacture.

Re: Resmed slimline vs heated tubing
Since I don't have resmed myair until I get the serial number issue resolved..Here is how it looks from snorelabs. I had removed the mask when I was not able to sleep for couple of hours where it shows epic, then once I woke up, I did put it back and I think got good 4+ hours.
From what I remember from night, a few time the pressure was high and the air was leaking out of the mask, which woke me up for couple of seconds.

Re: Resmed slimline vs heated tubing
2319.. so looks like 19. I think the provider of the machine has already registered it to my doctor's account or their own account for insurance compliance or something. Will find out in 2 hours when they get to work.

Re: Resmed slimline vs heated tubing
I think the provider & doctor registering is different than the user side. What hours usage does it show?
