Perhaps a diffuser over the elbow vent would give more venting if needed.
To be absolutely clear -
The bleep has vents under the green diffuser fabric.
The hose has an addition vent THAT IS NOT NEEDED TO VENT. I taped the additional vent with tape to prevent too much venting, which might record as leak.
Understood. From the photo I thought the fabric might have restricted the airflow. If you are comfortable with that, we are comfortable.
I wasn't sure how restrictive the fabric would be. I don't remember who, but I think it was palerider gave a very simple check - if the air near the vent feels alternately warm and cool then your venting is good.

If you're worried about suffocating to death, just put your hand near the vent, where you can feel the temp of the air, it should warm when you exhale, and cool down when you inhale, if not sooner.
I actually pulled out my pulse oximeter to do a check, because I was feeling lightheaded when I was working on setting up the diffuser. Turned out that my oxygen was fine - around 98% - and the lightheadedness was due to forgetting to take my meds that morning.

While it's *possible* to feel light headed because of low oxygen, I don't think it's a common symptom.

When I first joined this forum there was a thread about new Resmed XPAP water tank leaks. Naturally I was concerned and came up with a stop gap solution, for me.
I bought a baking sheet with raised edges (plenty of volume for water in the tank), then put a cooling rack on top of that and set machine with a plugin surge protector on top of that. No more leak concerns except a bad tank. I bought a spare in that eventuality.

Had to drill a couple of holes in pan ends and put in screws to keep cooling rack centered.
Added plus is machine will not slide around on rack.

That is a neat idea. I was afraid of the tank messing up the finish on my nightstand. I was using a towel under it but after pulling my brand new expensive bilevel onto the floor sometime during the night,I had to find a better non slip way to protect my nightstand. I went with a rubber dog mat because of something pugsy said. I never even thought of something as elaborate and elegant as your solution. Thanks for sharing.

I did not make it. It is an old fabric drawer from Walmart flipped upside down
So its more repurposed than homemade. They have them in the laundry section

That is awesome, especially if you live somewhere cold. We recently moved from where we got a fair amont of snow down to Arizona where its nice and warm but I can see where that would have advantages. I will remeber that if we go visiting in cold country.

Lol no thanks! I am glad to be out of the snow and back in the valley. I grew up here. I am not fond of the cold.

Fabric drawer or fabric storage bin. Google those two phrases and tons come up. Or about any box store has them. Make sure to measure your machine so you know the top of the drawer will slip over it.

Put four adhesive rubber bumper pads under your device so it won't slide around under on slipper wood finishes. Mine has move an iota since applying them.
