need roach-proof bipap cover
We have a terrible roach problem which I'm trying to solve. But in the meantime can anybody tell me where to purchase such a cover. Hopefully, one that doesn't restrict the airflow so I can use it during the night also. Someone told me to get something like pantyhose. I have searched but only mostly found mattress covers. Any ideas on where to go or how to make one? Thanks.

Not going to bite on that straight line!

i just went through it. mostly the thread consists of "EWWWW" and then an argument over whether it's cockroaches or water bugs. unfortunately, i didn't see anything about protecting the machine.metsfan302 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2019 3:32 pmI saw this topic, viewtopic/t10290/I-JUST-FOUND-OUT-THE-M ... one point made there that MAY help-water bugs are drawn to water (as in your humidifier tank) and cockroaches are drawn to filth.
not that this would ease my mind in the slightest. i don't want the chance of any bug going up my nose.

My suggestion would be to hire an exterminator to get rid of the roaches!kingwillard wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2019 1:51 pmWe have a terrible roach problem which I'm trying to solve. But, the pantyhose idea is good for putting the mask in when you're not using it.
Other than that, there's not much chance of any roaches getting inside the machine.

There's plenty of cracks and vent holes that bugs can get into the machine, just not the airpath.Wulfman... wrote: ↑Tue Mar 19, 2019 9:03 pmOther than that, there's not much chance of any roaches getting inside the machine.

Re: need roach-proof bipap cover
What part of things do you want to cover?- I need to cover the whole machine as my old cpap machine got wasted because of these German roaches. That's the whole reason I had to do another sleep study which required me to get a bipap.
Stick it in a pillow case.- I was thinking along those lines.
Zip it in a laundry bag- Also good idea.
i just went through it. mostly the thread consists of "EWWWW" and then an argument over whether it's cockroaches or water bugs. - It's German roaches.
My suggestion would be to hire an exterminator to get rid of the roaches!, But, the pantyhose idea is good for putting the mask in when you're not using it., Other than that, there's not much chance of any roaches getting inside the machine.- We have been exterminated and there are more than before. They're going to do gel treatment next week. These damn bugs ruined my old cpap machine so They can get INSIDE.
Thanks for the help!

"I know it's a tough battle...and those Germans are smart!!!"
They do make a mighty fine automobile, Love my Audi. How the hell they crammed 2 turbos and a 2.7 motor in the space they did is beyond me. Then it comes to repair time and the motor needs to be pulled to basically do anything I start to think - now that isn't very smart

they like a warm dark place. All electronics produce a bit of heat. I don't think its much the filth, but the nice cozy warm, dark and slightly moist place. Waterbugs are a totally different thing.
