FOR SALE: Philips Respironics Auto BiPAP , model DS760

Post by zack243 » Fri Dec 07, 2018 12:28 pm

PR, BiPAP Auto, System One, model DS760, Biflex System. Machine has 80 hours. This sale also includes heated humidifier, heated tubing, instruction manual, power supply, travel bag, extra filters, and side plate.

I bought all of this from Secondwind to use as a backup machine. When purchased, the cost was 809 dollars for all that is shown in the photos. I turned it on to check function, but have never used it.

Presently, Secondwind sells this used machine, humidifier and heated tube for 759 dollars. I will sell all of this for 290 dollars, and I will pay shipping if in the continental US..

Damn thats a steal of a deal tbh....hmmm need a bipap,

Is it adjustable? Are pressure and release for breathing out?

When i breathe out it is longer than my current bi directional cpap allows me to

This model is a very adjustable bi level. All parameters for IPAP, EPAP, PS minimum, PS maximum, Flex, Rise time, etc., etc. are adjustable. Here is a link to the secondwindcpap listing for the used model DS760

I believe you are stating that your machine will not allow you to exhale as long as you would normally want. This coordination of the machines IPAP-to-EPAP timing to your natural breathing cycle is adjustable with this DS760. Philips Respironics calls that parameter "Rise Time". This machine also has a feature called "Bi Flex Comfort Feature" which is a pressure relief that aids in stages of exhalation.

If you are really interested, you should research this models features compared to your CPAP. This is a good machine with only 80 hours of use, and it has not been used since it was preped and sanitized by Secondwind. I kept the Dreamstation Auto BiPap as my backup because the Dreamstation settings are customized to my needs. I am selling this one because I do not need two backup machines. My clinician manual will be included with this sale, and that can explain all the adjustments available.

This is a helluva deal for anyone.
The auto bilevel mode has so many adjustments available that you can even "dumb it down" and make it work like an apap or even cpap if you tweak the settings enough.
I have this same model machine for my back up....and damn was going to offer it for sale but it has nearly 1 K hours on it...and was going to try to get more money.  Guess I will wait.

From what my doc explained it is a cpap that sends direct constant air then shuts down the air for a certain amount of time, its almost like a bipap i guess

That's basically nonsense.

What's the model or REF number off the label on your machine.

That's referred to as an "apap".

Also, what your doctor said is wrong, the DS Auto *can*, momentarily, slightly *reduce* the air pressure, during part of your exhale, but it doesn't come anywhere close to shutting it down.
