Normal charges for study results

Post by CorgiWalker » Mon Jul 02, 2018 12:00 pm

I was billed a small fee by the pulmonologist the night of the split study. I was billed for the sleep study. I was billed for the PA at the pulmonologist office to give me the results. I was billed for the CPAP and supplies. My concern is that I was billed 2 days by 1 pulmonologist and a 3rd day by a 2nd pulmonologist in the same group to review and prepare the results. Is 3 day billing by 2 doctors normal for a split study with severe Sleep Apnea. If it isn’t, should I contact the pulmonologist group, or should I contact insurance?

Wait until you see the statement from your insurance.....They most likely will not pay for excessive services and the payment will be very low.
