My answer to that would be religious, and this isn't a religion forum, so I won't give it here.

However, if you don't mind a suggestion: It is enough to know it happened. So there's really no need to watch the news stories about it over and over again to keep reliving the trauma of it.

Just a thought.

As long as there's access to guns, people will use them to kill other people in huge numbers. It's not complicated!

I'll +1 Julie's post and out of respect for this horrific happening, will keep the rest of my thoughts to myself.

Once again, the media fall all over each other, drinking in the horror,
trying to enhance their own marketability.
It reminds me so much of the climax of Van Helsing.
Reporters are sometimes the real monsters.

I have firm beliefs in the 2nd Amendment and the right to not have your life taken away by another.

Thoughts and prayers to all the families and those injured in this senseless trajedy.

Guns make it easy. If it were harder with guns, they'd turn to cyanide gas, fire, IED's, or any other type of destructive device or material to accomplish their aims. Remember the old saying that locks are meant to keep the honourable people out. People bent on mischief or murder, makes no never mind...they'll find a way to do it, and it'll be a shock when it happens.

The Media Attention is over half of the problem, the rest is Crazies, they want attention and are getting it. Carry your own gun, and put them down quickly, no need to get the faulty Courts involved. Taking them alive only breeds more. Jim

We had these same kids when I was in school. But we didn't have social media, being glorified in the news worldwide, plus if you did something bad, you knew you weren't going to be famous, you were going to be dead. Now with our Court System you get three hots and a cot, mankind is what suffers. Too many Bleeding Hearts, not enough Real Bleeding of the right people. Don't store violent criminals longer than it takes to carry out the previous one! Thank the person who brings these violent criminals, and Nuts to their end quickly, and be kind buy them a new box of Ammo.

Mental health care is sadly inaccessible to those who most need it.
Now it has become a matter of public safety.
Change is needed.

Why do you start a thread like this in a CPAP forum? Talk about it with your family and friends instead of here.

People want to connect, why do you care? If you see OT (off topic) in the heading of a post and don't want to read about anything but Cpap, don't read it.

I see your point, but it's clearly marked OT, all it requires is Self Control. I hate to see or it or hear it, because it just adds fuel to the Fires, If people didn't see or talk about it , less Kooks would think they had to do it, and get better numbers, Thanks Media, Sell that trash! Jim
