tired with dreamware

Post by bod » Mon Feb 05, 2018 2:08 pm

Hi all,

I have tried the dreamware for more than a week. I felt more tired each day despite good numbers (low leaks, low AHI).

Sometimes I would wake up during the night feel the mask moving a little like a stick-slip motion coming from the top of the mask.

I did let it for a few nights. Then I decided to put some grease on the top rotation element and try it again. It does turn with a little more effort but there is no more stick-slip.

Despite a good night and good numbers again, I felt very tired again.

Could it be the noise of the hose touching the wall behind my pillow that wakes me partially up during the night ?

I like this mask because it is comfortable, and there aren't many leaks. But I can't use it because it makes me tired.

Have you experienced this too ? Did you find a solution to avoid this ?

Thanks

I recently tried using my dreamwear with the heated tubing and it was miserable because of the extra weight of that tubing, so I went back to the good ole standard tubing.

One question is how often are you waking up and why?
if there are specific things about the dreamwear that make you uncomfortable, some of those can be addressed.

You might try looking in detail at your sleepyhead data to check on how much good quality sleep are you really getting, and what precedes the awakenings.

Good luck to you.

Maybe you have too small of a pillow installed, and you aren't getting as much pressure out of the mask as you really need.
