Post by Ms LInda » Thu Oct 05, 2017 4:19 pm

HI IM new, been religious wearing this gizmo, I know I snore, so. first days I felt better, after three weeks, now, I have a constant dull pain, where third eye would be, forehead
I feel dumb, my body feels energiezed, but, my brain feels bad.
read about that pulmonary something, kinda talked about headache, but, IM not fainting, IM a strong human, maybe thats hwy
but ,, too , My ramp goes up to 16, blows my brains, doesnt it? so it was the diagnosis, It wakes me up, or something, does, and sometimes, if my mouth is open the cheeks flap
its awful,
tonite, IM not wearing the mask, see if this damn dull ache goes away, too many days with it, also shortness of breath, which is curious, with all that air going in my face
thanks for any insights

You are wearing Gismo, but you are untreated until you keep the air from coming out your pie hole. You need a FF Mask , to keep the air from leaking out of your mouth so the pressure can be trapped in your air way and hold it open as designed.

I would like to add one more question,
3 almost 4 weeks, Ive been using religiously, get a good score on the web site for my machine, still, this other issue, is awful
eye trouble, went to eye dr, gave me some ointment to get, (dry eye ) feels better,
I have an issue, with droppy eye lids,
and since Ive been using the CPAP, lids are down. bad, awful for me,
I can see, but, keeping my eyes open is exhausting,
maybe thats why I have the third eye headache? ( too heavy lids) though, dr. did eye glasses testing, bla bla.
this looks like IM not sleeping enough, how crazy is that? thats usually when I notice the droopy eye lids.
but i have a CPAP machine!
oh my
is it all a scam?

going to not use the gizmo tonight, see if anything feels better in the morning.

Like I said even though you are using the machine, you aren't using it so it will work. You must be able to contain the air pressure the machine puts out in your airway. The object is that pressure holds your airway open so you can breath. As far as the Headache goes, stopping air from going into your lungs (Sleep Apnea) will cause O2 levels to be low, that can cause the headache.

A far as knowing what's going on you need a machine that collects FULL data, and the SleepyHead software that reads it. What you are using for info is slightly better than nothing, but not good enough, also until you get the leak level down, the software can be corrupted. Leaks must be controlled. Jim

Linda - crazy as it might sound, there is a syndrome that you might want to ask a neurologist about - not something your GP would often think of - and it's one that begins with droopy lids. But it's very rare... myasthenia gravis... I'm sure you likely don't have it, but you might want to ask for the neuro consult just for the heck of it.

The first two nights i woke up with unbearable headaches. Kept me home for 2 days. Two things helped. Put K-Y gel in nose to keep it moist and turned humidifer to 6. When I started--no humidifer on--no gel in the nose.

Use a warm compress to test for sinus pain. Some mild heat helps if it is sinus.
If drinking coffee quells the morning headache, it may be a signal for possible migraine.
See a doctor if pain is intense and remains so.
