Which Pad A Cheek should I order?

Post by bugo » Thu Sep 28, 2017 2:25 pm

I have a Resmed Airfit F10 mask that leaks around my eyes really badly. Sometimes I wake up and my eyes are almost swollen. If I have the mask and machine on the air blows into my eyes, making them water. I have been told that I should use a mask liner. I have also been told the Pad A Cheek is the one to get but are there any other decent brands? I want something that will last at least a few months. Do I want the "Mask Liner"? Or should I give up and try a different mask?

Padacheek is the only mask liner that is really designed to last for months and months and months.
There are other brands like Remzzzs but while they can be used multiple times..they aren't really designed to.

Personally... if the F20 is leaking that badly I would try a different mask.
Maybe it simply doesn't suit your face.
Get a mask that works decently and then maybe add a mask liner.
Mask liners aren't going to help a really bad fitting mask..mask liners are for when the fit is close but needs just a little help.

My suggestion...if you haven't tried the Respironics Amara View full face mask give it a try.
It totally eliminates the over the nose area that is prone to leaking and blowing in your eyes.

Padacheek are the only liners that I know of that are designed to be used and washed and reused.

Others are just some variation on a bit of cloth with a hole in it, and the worse ones (remzzzs) suggest throwing them away after one use.

Just call up Karen @ padacheek, she'll get you fixed up.

I am seriously considering trying an Amara View. I have a regular Amara full face mask but it blows in my eyes like the Resmed does. After insurance it won't cost that much more than a set of liners would cost so I might just go that route.

You might also want to look into Onyx sleep masks made especially for Cpap users who find air leaking into their eyes.
