You seem to have done it just fine - how it's supposed to work. I'll leave interpretation to others though.

Maybe you aren't logged in to your imgur account to get the other choices for links.
You have to be logged in and click on the actual image you wish to share, to get the choices below and the last/bottom address is the link for embedding the images like I have done with this one.

But the link you posted gets us there...just not showing up in the body of the post.

Had to close the window. Open the window. Sign out and then sign back in.
