airmini dentist drill sound?

Post by robo2084 » Fri Jul 07, 2017 3:27 pm

I know many have mentioned that the airmini is noisy, but I am curious if everyone is experiencing what I would call a high pitched 'dentist drill' type sound. It's really the one thing I am having a hard time tolerating...I am trying to determine if my unit is in any way defective

I'll post a recording. My ears are not good but I don't think I suffer from any odd disorders other than poor hearing at very high frequencies.

To clarify, though, do you have an airmini?

No, he is not even using a machine--just fighting for a specific one his providers will not----provide.
At least a couple members do have an Airmini, though--just not me.

But neither of us is there to hear HIS machine.
It could be defective.
Some folks even have unusual sensitivity to sounds that the rest of us don't even notice.
Some patients on the autism spectrum perceive small soft sounds as deafening and gratingly unbearable.
I have been around such a person--they do truly suffer.
I would sooner go barefoot than wear their shoes.

Good idea--if they are tech savvy enough.
Does Audacity have a decibel meter?
