Would like to know the difference between the three Machines, mentioned in subject.

Apap=auto titrating cpap. You can set a range of pressure so you use the lowest pressure needed to treat events. You start out at the lowest pressure set and as the machine notices an event it will slowly increase the pressure until the event stops or it hits the highest number it's set for.

Bi-pap=Has set levels for breathing in and out. Mostly used for people who need high pressures. It will use a lower pressure when you breathe out and a higher pressure when you breathe in. The lower pressure lasts for the entire expiration the raises again when the machine detects a breath.

Xpap=cpap, apap, bi-pap. Any machine used.

The "cpapopedia" that neversleeps mentioned back then has since been changed to, I guess, the "Collected Wisdom" lightbulb button. Or maybe definitions and acronyms are in the CPAP FAQ. Would probably be easier for new users if there were a button up there that said "Definitions".
