CL2- creative modification help please
Thank you to everyone who helped me figure out how to change the ramp time on my machine...it's made a BIG difference getting to sleep.
I also FINALLY figured out what the problem is with my nose--my nose is extremely narrow (3/4"), which is why none of the masks fit me. I ordered the CL2 and have decided it will be the perfect mast for me. I really like how adjustible the mask is...different interfaces, angle adjustments, length adjustments; however I need to come up with a creative modification first to help stop leaks.
I'm using the nasal pillows in a petite. I created my own version of RG's pantyhose trick, using 1/2" spandex strap with velcro, which has made it much more stable. Now, the problem is that no matter how much I've bent the metal piece the pillows are too far apart. Problem is, I don't want anything touching my skin more than it has too (chronic pain disorder), so I don't think fishing wire is the right idea. Anyone have any ideas?

I use 2 garbage bag tyes. Fasten each one around the "nub" located on
each side of the pillow assembly, and inside of the stainless steel piece the "nub:
fit into. Then cross them right above the exhaust holes and twist until you
get the correct angle, I like this better than the fishing line, because I can
make adjustments with the mask on and under pressure.
The "panty hose" trick is for the "Simple Cushion", not the pillows. But your
milage may vary..
Good luck.

oldgearhead, I think I already gave you this trophy kinda' in passing...shared with another person for another idea in another thread.
But those great pictures have earned ya a shiny bright new one, all your own!

btw, I use the pantyhose trick with nasal pillows, as well as with the simple cushion. The good old pantyhose leg is more essential with the simple cushion thingy, but I do use it with both.
Nellie, your homemade strap sounds good!

Good pics, billy! You're a neat lab rat, as attested to by your mods to a Breeze:

Unless I'm misunderstanding Nellie's problem she's trying to get the two pillows of her CL2 to be closer side-by-side to each other. I think (might be wrong) that the two pillows are sitting too wide apart for her narrow nose. I'll bet the pictures will give you an idea, Nellie, about other configurations of ties to get the pillows shoved closer to each other.
At any rate, it's good you all posted the clear photos. Those are clever fixes for people who are trying to get the whole thing pulled in closer to their nostrils.
