My AHI was 8.3
Is this good or bad? Could anyone tell me? Also, my leak rate is 43.7% is that bad? or good?
For AHI - under 5 is considered normal. As for the leak - It depends on what pressure you use. Here is a clickable link to mask leak rates;

Your profile shows you have an M Series Plus. Is that correct or do you have a Pro model that gives you the statistics you're telling us?
How long have you been on the machine?
What is your pressure?
If you're new on the machine, your AHI may come down over time.
If you're using higher pressure, that might explain the higher leak rate.
Best wishes,
Den

leak rates chart
Brenda and all,
Do you know more about the interesting mask rate chart at
http://www.internetage.com/cpapinfo/leak-rates-1.html ?
Are the rates the published acceptable flow vent rates for that particular mask?
If not, where did the numbers come from?
Does anyone have a scale of what is good and bad with leak rates? For example, below 20 is excellent, above 50 is unacceptable?

Well, you're right in the ballpark for the "leak rate".ready2sleep wrote:I was wrong, I do have a pro model, and am getting these numbers off the machine. Are new to the machine, so hoping the numbers do come down. My pressuer is at 12
Just keep an eye on the AHI stuff (as if I'd have to tell you). If it doesn't go down much in another week or two, you might want to explore another pressure setting adjustment.
The first few weeks of my therapy were pretty up and down at a setting of 10, but they generally stayed below 3.0 (on the nights they were high). I also had some that were below 1.0 during that time, too.
Keep us informed.....
