Hose cover

Post by LilBuckaroo » Sun Feb 13, 2005 5:00 pm

Hi ya’ll,

I know that this was discussed in previous posts, but here goes again!

I need to make a durable cover for my hose. I caught my hose on the corner of my nightstand on Thurs. night and poked a hole in it. Cool air blowing on a naked leg in the middle of the night is not my idea of “fun”!! Fortunately, it was Thurs. and my DME was open on Fri, so I was able to purchase another one to the tune of $51!! Yikes!! I know that I could make one for considerably less!!!! Rainout is not a problem, it just needs to protect the hose.

Thanks for your help.

Someone suggested wrapping an ace bandage around it, but that sounds pretty ugly to me. I think I'm going to make one out of fleece - that would at least feel soft against your skin!

Herky,

You can buy them at cpap.com for $15 +/- or I've seen them for aroung $10 on eBay.

$51 from the DME! Yikes is right! Just another evil DME story
Sincerely,

I have the Aussie heated hose. Its great. No rainout .

Check it out at http://www.sleepzone.com.au/showitems.a ... PAP%20Tube'

The total delivered price charged to my card was $ 91. 53 USD. You also need to purchase the power supply at Radio Shack. for about $16.

Cheers,

Chris

Buy a pair of tube socks, cut the toes off. Slide the socks over the tubing and secure with rubber bands. Acts an as insulator for the humidity and also gives some protection to the tubing.

Or maybe a pair of those hilarious legwarmers from working out in The Eighties?

OK, I have to say, a genuine snake skin hose warmer would be great.

Just IMAGINE how you could scare the bajeesus out of anyone who'd never seen it, or was afraid of snakes.

Liam, who had all of his bajeesus removed surgically, years ago.

Ya'll are entirely too much Never thought about the socks or leg warmers. Groovy man, groovy! (1970's lingo, I think). What male doesn't have several pairs of old sox that are looking for a home? My wife may have some leg warmers left laying around here.

OK ya'll, tnx for the good suggestions
