I just started using CPAP and it works great. Never felt so rested. the only problem I am having is that, if I wake up in the night or morning, my body seems to be in a trance; such a deep sleep that I can hardly move for a while until I wake up. my arms and legs tingle like they are a sleep. Once I wake up I feel great. Can anyone help explain.

Do you remember dreaming right before you wake up? In REM sleep, where we do most of our dreaming (and we get more REM sleep in the early monrning hours), our bodies are essentially paralyzed except for the heart and breathing mechanisms. This way we can't act out our dreams.
Sometimes our brain wakes up ahead of the body and you feel like you are paralyzed. It's called sleep paralysis and it's a pretty normal event, although most of us don't experience it very often.
New CPAPpers get REM rebound, though, and do a lot more dreaming in the first few weeks of CPAP, so that may well be why you are seeing it occur.
Just think about how good you're feeling now that your apnea is treated!
