FlexiFit™431 Full Face Mask
FlexiFit™431 Full Face Mask
Finally am going to try a full face mask. This is my first full face mask. The issue I am having is I am breathing out of my mouth. Been on CPAP since March and have yet to have a full nights sleep, but I am not giving up!
Even trying several chin straps I still breathe through my mouth, actually even with my mouth closed the air will puff my cheeks up and then the airflow escapes through my lips, then I wake up.
Will post tomorrow and report. The 431 fits me very well and is very comfortable. No leaks (at least while I am awake, will know for sure this evening).

Flexfit 431
I switched to the flexfit 431 about six months ago. Hope it woks out well for you. My experience with it is that I swear by it instead of at it.
Mine crawled off my desk and found freadom, I can't find them anywhere. You did put them in one of your jars, and sell them, did you? JimGidgie wrote:I'm still swearing by it, myself............of course, with a little help from the moles.......
Also glad to see you back!

It definitly is good to be back........can you imagine what it's like not to be able to talk to anyone about this stuff? I mean, it's so darn isolating.........especially when friends and relatives try not to hear you if you accidently make a slip and mention your problem? To some it's almost like having a shameful secret?
Update
If last night was any indication of the future, I think I have finally hit the jackpot!
No leaks at all, very comfortable and what surprised me was how quiet this mask is.
Went to bed at 10:30 and did not wake until 6:20, do not remember waking up one single time. More importantly this is the first morning I have woke up feeling like I got a good nights sleep. Been many, many years since I have felt this good in the morning!
Only issue with this mask is I have a little bit of irritation on the bridge of my nose. Will adjust the strap to relieve the pressure some. Several of my other masks with silicone seals do the same thing. I hope it is not some sort of allergy to silicone.
Update: The soreness on the bridge of my nose has not gotten any better as the day has progressed. It is red and puffy but does not hurt at all. However if it does not get better by this evening I do not know if I will be able to use the mask tonight, and that is a bummer.
Any suggestions on what I can put on the bridge of my nose that would still allow a seal? This mask is what I need as I have not gotten tired at all today and feel the best I have felt in quite awhile.

LOL!!! Jim, I never did it that way! I always put the sticky side on my skin because I was afraid I was going to ruin the mask. I know my skin grows back so I figured, why take a chance ripping the seal to a mask. Am I the only fool to make such a huge mistake?
I am so embarrassed!!! x infinity!!!

I cannot believe that I never picked up on that before. I haven't used mole skin since I stopped using my Activa, like in the first two, three months of therapy back in the summer of 2005. Can we just say, maybe I hadn't fully recovered from that cognitively-impaired symptom untreated apneacs can experience (ahem)? PLEASE, CAN WE JUST SAY THAT???Gidgie wrote:Jim's right, Sleepless.........the sticky side goes on the mask. Interestingly, it sticks only enough to keep it in place, and is very easy to remove.
