TV or CPAP?

Post by techno-snoreus » Fri Aug 25, 2006 3:47 pm

If you could only have one, what would you give up? TV or xPAP? I would give up my TV in a heartbeat if it meant I got to keep my CPAP.

Sorry but I'd rather give up people who ask irrelevant questions. How does this further our cpap experience?

I ditto guest on such a waste and distractions.

I hope this does not turn into a chat lounge.

I still say we should have a BS button in addition to the spam killker.

I also think we should have a thread for the dumbest posting for the week of month.

This would likely win hands down,

Anyone who even votes on this is enabling such irrelevence.

That's an idiotic question. I could DIE or KILL SOMEONE without xPAP.

I don't have a problem with some "chat lounge" stuff as long as it is generally cpap / osa related. A little humor helps me deal with this stuff on a daily basis. Our friends and family who do not suffer from OSA may have sympathy, but can they really relate like the rest of us hosers can? I have to say, with respect to the OP, that this kind of thing does not really help anyone cope or provide useful information to us. Just my two cents.

Perhaps we need a Lighten Up button too?

It'd be a tough call, though cpap would most likely win out.

I do like my Who Wants To Be A Superhero show though!

I see at least two other people went with cpap too. Interesting!

I don't have to give any of it up, I don't see a reasoning for giving anything up but poor sleep. Jim

I know that sleep apnea is a serious matter, but sheesh. Lighten up! If we can't laugh about it on here, where can we? It doesn't mean that anyone would ever have to choose, it's just a hypothetical question.
For the record, I actually voted for cpap. Yeah, I know about the importance of cpap therapy, blah blah blah. It's a HYPOTHETICAL! and I've been enjoying television for 36 years. I've only been on cpap for 8 months, and I still ain't enjoying it!

I don't mind the question. It gave me small chuckle.

It's an easy answer for me. I pretty much already have given up "the idiot box." I watch TV rarely, perhaps a few times a week, often for only part of a show. I find 90+% of TV to be really bad and a complete waste of time. I call it "mind candy." I prefer to play the mandolin when some people might otherwise be watching TV. My real "media weakness" is internet message boards!

Would giving up TV include Notre Dame football?

Oh, the humanity.......

Good one JP. I refuse to watch network tv. Seems like a total waste of time. For some reason, watching my sports teams does not seem like a waste of time. I don't want to let watching sports take priority to friends and family, but if I have the time, now that's real "must see TV" to me.
