Hi all,
This may be a dumb question but I'm going to ask it anyway
I've been getting treatment for sleep apnea for around 2 months now, I've got a question in regards to my mask size.
My mirage quattro seems to indicate 2 sizes, the headgear is in large and the mask has S (small I assume) on the actual mask itself.
Is this normal? I was supplied the mask from the NHS so didn't pick the sizes myself although they did measure me themselves.
I'm wondering if I buy REMSZZZ or Padacheek mask liners in the large as per the headgear, or small as per the mask really...
Thanks
Mirage Quattro different headgear and mask size?
Re: Mirage Quattro different headgear and mask size?
Mask liners go by mask size and not headgear size.

Re: Mirage Quattro different headgear and mask size?
Hi wabak,
You say:
"My Mirage Quattro seems to indicate 2 sizes ... "
The Mirage Quattro comes in four sizes: small; extra small; medium; and large.
The headgear (the straps bit) comes in three sizes: small, medium (now called 'standard') and large.
As to "Is it normal?" - there's no rule that says: 'If you have small face (small distance from top of nose to below nose or to below bottom lip), you must have a small head - and if you don't, there's something wrong with you.' You can have any one of 12 combinations.
For you, buying mask liners from Padacheek in the US can mean delay as the stuff comes through customs, and it can also mean that you get wrongly charged both customs duty and VAT - which you then have to chase to get back. An alternative is to get mask liners from Eu-PAP (aka Intus Healthcare), in Reading. Their number, dialing from within the UK, is: 0844 504 9999.
They also have a web page, where you can order on-line.
If you want to find out more about the mask you've got and also other masks available from ResMed UK:
