REMStar M-Series Auto - actually released yet, or not?
I see people here saying they have the REMstar Auto M-Series, but Respironics' own website shows it as "Coming Soon" and cpap.com doesn't show it for sale in their "Auto" category.
Is the M-Series REMstar Auto released, or not? Are people saying "M-Series" when they really mean the older one, or what? And if it's released and people have it, why is it "Coming Soon" on the Respironics web site?
And yes, I mean the M-Series, the new tiny miniaturized thing with the hidden water chamber, the blue-backlit buttons, the one that "looks more like a clock radio than a medical device", not the older one with the visible water chamber.
I have the M-Series Pro, but I thought the M-Series Auto wasn't yet available. Respironics and cpap.com apparently think that too, and yet some of you claim to have it.
Just curious.

"Mister Hose, that's my name, that name again is Mister Hose!"
It's available (and in stock) from cpap.com for $875 including the heated humidifier.

Where is it?
And why on Earth would the manufacturer's website still say "Coming Soon" if it's available? I wonder if their webmaster will be fired soon. =)

It's not on the web site, but they DO have it. Call them if you want to order one. I ordered and received mine a week and a half ago.

my guess:
It has to do with current stock of the older Remstar Autos they must have in inventory. If they put the new M series on the web, no one would purchase the current inventory or they would have to greatly reduce prices of the older model to encourage sales. (the older Auto Cflex is a great machine).
call them, they will sell you one if that is what you want.

Yes, it IS available - I recieved mine 11 days ago. It's just not listed on the sites yet, if you call they will tell you that it is available. I didn't even know about it, and was just getting ready to order the REMstar Auto C-flex when I read a post stating that the M Series was the newer version of the Auto I was about to order. Glad I saw that post! Called cpap.com and the supplier I ended up purchasing from and was told by both vendors that it was indead available, just not listed yet. Ordered on Monday, was sent out that evening and I recieved it Wednesday morning. Very happy with it - the vendor also steered me to the ComfortLite 2 mask, which I also was unaware of (was looking for something that would work with a beard and mustache). Researched it, ended up ordering it instead of another I was going to go with - and am also very happy with it. My luck ussually runs in the opposite direction so I was anticipating the worst - to my joy the equipment and service could not have turned out any better. My only regret is that I could not yet afford the software and card reader - I am really looking forward to that. Have been taping my mouth shut at night to play it safe - but don't think the Hybrid or other full face masks would work with the beard and stache (also the Hybrid was an even $100 more). So far just loving the machine and the apap. Small footprint and doesn't stand out nearly as much as other units I have seen. Also my titration/sleep lab was 5 years ago so it is very comforting to have the apap - I was titrated in the sleep lab at 11.5, the m:Series has given me an 11.4 seven day average and a 11.8 thirty day average (only been on for 11 days though). In the 11 days my average AHI started at 3.7, dropped and pretty much leveled at 3.4 - mouth taped 3 days ago and now have a 7 day average of 3.0 and 30 day of 3.2 (am hoping to get these down even further with the software). My AHI in the sleep lab was 30 without cpap and 5 with, so this machine is actually doing slightly better than the sleep lab was able to. All in all - so far very happy with it - just wished they would have backlit the display when you flipped open the cover, but that's rather minor since it doesn't effect my therapy. --- BT
