Humidifier/Water Chamber

Post by SleepyDeb » Thu Nov 03, 2016 7:34 am

Is it essential to clean the humidifier chamber if you do NOT use the humidifier function? I recently stopped using it because of consistent chest cough, and not using it seems to work on reducing my coughing. But, I'm not sure if I should still continue to rinse out the chamber with distilled water every morning. Thanks.

Are you saying that you removed the water and turned off the humidifier? So you don't have water in the chamber at night?

If so, there's no need to clean/rinse daily.

Yes, I removed the water and turned off the humidifier. I thought I might not have to clean daily - but wanted to be sure. Thanks!

you could also get this cover ... it will make the unit a little smaller.

If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

Get the Clinicians manual here : http://apneaboard.com/adjust-cpap-press ... tup-manual

I notice that part is cheaper than the chamber as well.

If at any time you decide to use it again, wash it out thoroughly before your first use.
