C-Pap causing gas
C-Pap causing gas
Has anyone experienced excessive gas/air from using a C-Pap. I constantly relieve gas/air by belching or otherwise. Its at the point where I'm feeling anxiety attacks before reliving gas/air.
Re: C-Pap causing gas
Use the search box here to look for 'aerophagia' and see tons of info on that!

I had the same until I read about EPR - Exhalation pressure relief. This is a setting on your machine that needs to be turned on maximum full time. The machine then detects when you are breathing out and automatically lowers the air pressure. Virtually eliminated the problem overnight.

Gas-X is just an anti-foaming agent (simethicone). It breaks down smaller bubbles into one larger bubble.zonker wrote: welcome! if i may make a suggestion, try using GAS-X available at fine stores everywhere. i pop two tablets and chew them up about a half hour before masking up for sleep.

Many start out with aerophagia in the early stages of therapy. You may also experience soreness of your chest/ribs in the beginning. The body does adapt over time ... and well worth the effort to stick with the therapy though.wayno105 wrote:Has anyone experienced excessive gas/air from using a C-Pap. President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

I had similar problems and my doctor just kept lowering my pressure but then my AHI just went up. Finally he switched my machine to auto with a range from 5-18. Since then I do not have the gas issue.
