Hose help

Post by Mary1118 » Sun Mar 27, 2016 7:30 am

Good morning
Went to wash mask just now. So I can't disconnect just mask from small hose? The hose that connects directly to the the mask? I then attempted to disconnect smaller hose from larger hose and I did but can't get it connected right again. Please see image. The two dark grey rubber pieces are supposed to meet. Is there something I'm missing, some sort of trick to reconnect this? I don't have cleaning wipes yet so I was going to wash it in soapy water today. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.
ps - sorry no pic - can't figure out how to get pic on here.
EDITED - hubby thinks I was mistaken and the grey rubber parts of the two tubes did not meet. He push the smaller hose into the bigger one and you hear a click. There is about 1" of plastic between each rubber end but technically they are connected. And air comes through so I guess I just thought they were pushed completely together. Am I supposed to get the hose off the actual mask though? Just to clean mask? I don't have time right now to upload to photobucket to get an image code to post it in here so you can see what I was referring to. Unless there's another way to post pictures? Anyway I think I'm ok. We will see for sure tonight.

1) I use hand sanitizer and a nose tissue to wipe off my mask... been doing it for years, no adverse affects.

2) perhaps, in the future, you should take pictures of how things look before you take them apart.

Did you look at the booklet that came with your mask? It has cleaning instructions - what to take apart and how to reassemble. Sometimes the hoses are difficult to get off - very tight fit.
