Tips for when you can't sleep

Post by 49er » Sat Mar 12, 2016 4:05 am

""It’s the middle of the night and you’re wide awake. You’ve googled “how to fall asleep” countless times, but unlike you, the internet hasn’t tried counting sheep until the sun rises. No, you’re not going to put away your cell phone. How will you entertain yourself? Instead of lighting the lavender candle you likely don’t have, try our 10 things to do when you can’t seem to drift off to dreamland:

Turn on the TV and watch C-SPAN

It makes us fall asleep in the middle of the day, so why not at night? If you’re looking for something less political, try some classic episodes of “The Joy of Painting” with Bob Ross on Hulu.""

At last! Sleep advice that isn't "make sure the room is dark and quiet" and that other sleep hygiene nonsense! I have chronic insomnia, and the CPAP doesn't work unless I'm actually asleep (of course). CSPAN and Bob Ross, I ever thought of that. Ill be ready tonight. Thank you.

Cool, new things to try. The only one I've already done is the work out one, it did work!

Try this site. http://www.sleepwithmepodcast.com " The Podcast That Puts You To Sleep | A Lulling, Droning, Boring Bedtime Story to Distract Your Racing Mind" I've tried it and it is what is says it is, droning and boring.

This is kind of funny but I found something that works for me. The subject matter is supposed to be terrifying but the narrator's voice puts me to sleep: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Vb9gxrjmm0

I like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5Gm8UvxKlU It is a box fan soundtrack, but this one has better bass definition and depth imho, you of course are welcome to disagree.
