ClimateLine hose question
ClimateLine hose question
Will a ClimateLine hose work with the humidifier turned off? I have the hose set on manual. And just use pass-over moisture?

Re: ClimateLine hose question
What do you mean by work? If you mean prevent rainout, it's probably a very low risk with pass over humidity anyway. But you do have the separate tube temperature controls that you can set if you want warmer/cooler air temps.

Re: ClimateLine hose question
I think the answer is 'no'. now, you could turn the humidity level all the way down, and it wouldn't add much if any heated humidity, but there might still be some.Marce wrote:Will a ClimateLine hose work with the humidifier turned off? but turning the humidifier off, turns off the heated hose, since there's no need for it... given that its primary function is to prevent rainout.

I couldn't find the specific answer for this but I did go back on my Aircurve and found I could turn off the Humidity but the Temperature setting remained giving me a choice of degrees. I haven't tried it to see if I can tell a difference but wonder why it would remain lighted and available to change settings if it actually doesn't work.

Re: ClimateLine hose question
Will do that and see what happens, the cold air gives me terribly head pain. We keep our house pretty cool at night. Thanks

Re: ClimateLine hose question
Yes, mine is adjustable with the humidifier off, but the air was really cold this morning. It's a new hose. I will have to experiment with it. Thanks

Re: ClimateLine hose question
I would try the humidifier on 1 then especially if you had the hose temp turned up.

Re: ClimateLine hose question
You don't want to use a climateline without humidification. It would be like sticking a blow dryer up your nose (well maybe not that extreme). The point is that by raising the temperature of the air without adding more humidity, you are going to dry out your sinuses.
