The little sheep on Sleephead says.....

Is the sheep credible or not? When there is a bad night, say around 10, the sheep says: CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR ASAP! Then when there is a good night the sheep says, you are technically treated. Is the sheep full of it or what?

Does the sheep say this to everyone or are there different messages for different things?

Maybe the sheep is wisely covering its wooly keester.

Different messages depending on the most recent night's results.
The little guy does seem to go into panic mode pretty easily though and it may or may not be that urgent.
I have had him tell me that I had "significant periods of MAJOR leak" when all I saw on the detailed report amounted to about 15 minutes total in big leak. I don't consider that small amount of time in big leak worthy of panic mode.

With the AHI your husband is having I am not surprised the little guy is in panic mode but we already knew that his AHI bears concern and you are already working on trying to figure out if the AHI is really a problem or if the high AHI is from awake events getting flagged by mistake.

Mainly the little sheep guy is there to prompt someone that something is not quite optimal and bring it to your attention and then you decide what to do about it.

I named him Leonard.
We have discussions about his alarmist attitude with the morning data. Sometimes he's right and sometimes he's a little spaz.

That's not "Baaaaaaaaad" advice, but you'd best be looking for the reasons your "number" is that high.
Could be you're sleeping in a Baaaaaaaad position......or any number of other things.
Sounds like your therapy is marginal and you need to analyze some things.

Is it the AHI, you didn't specify?

Ha we named the sheep Bobo. My husband's Ahi are sometimes high like 10 and sometimes 2 or 3. So I just wondered. Depending on the day, the sheep goes from OMG you need help, to you are fine.

I am trying to figure it out why his numbers bounce around and why he's having clear airway events.(it all started on Dec 13. I think it's the sleep wake thing because he fell asleep really quick last night and woke up really quick and his Ahi was 3. If this continues we will consult sleep doctor. Unfortunately, the tech doesn't seem to be able to help much. That's why I am on here. Nothing is explained to me adequately. The specialist is expensive, so I want to rule out other options before going there. We talked to the tech about 2 months ago and he said Card all looked okay. Husband did Oxygen test then and it was all very good.

Well, if you're using Sleepyhead, post some reports on the forum and someone may be able to make suggestions. The "tech" wouldn't know diddly squat about reading the Sleepyhead reports.......they would use ResScan (for ResMed machines).

I have posted some Sleepyhead reports on another thread, called Can you please help me. This is last night. It looks okay to me.http://imgur.com/a/7HXLC Husband said he was asleep whole night. YOu can see where he shut off machine. I got up because I saw one of the kids playing their computer at night. He turned off machine to see what the commotion was. Other than that he said he slept.

A Friend of Mine Named Him Too. Named Him LEONARD!

You can nickname him whatever but Jedimark created Sleepyhead and has naming rights.

Downloads are technically clones; so I suppose that your copy could have its own name.
Would Mark really mind?
