Hose keeps slipping off the mask

Post by Morningglory » Fri Jan 08, 2016 10:47 am

Last night, my hose started slipping off the mask repeatedly. I couldn't get it to stay attached. Has anybody had this problem? How do you fix it?

You need one of these connectors...available at most DMEs or on line.
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... wivel.html
May be available on e-bay also.

I would probably try duct tape or a lot of Teflon plumbing tape to attach the hose to the mask and stop any leaks until I could get the connector he mentioned above. Brick and mortar stores MIGHT have it in stock, but it might take a few days to get it from our hosts in the mail.

that connector is NOT for the quattro air, it's for the mirage quattro.... a mask they don't have.

clean the inside end of the hose with a bit of soap and water to make sure it hasn't picked up oils.

wrap a rubber band around the end to give it more grip.

my first hose started doing that, (lost it's grip) and I just wound a layer of string tightly around the end after I'd slipped it onto the quick disconnect... it didn't come lose anymore

that said, new hoses are cheap from amazon, ebay, and many online retailers. (6-10$)
