New to CPAP

Post by jwnewell » Fri Nov 06, 2015 1:45 pm

I had a sleep study done after telling my doctor for years that I seemed tired and never felt rested. They told me I stopped breathing 31 times and hour. Not really sure how bad that is. Yesterday I picked up a Phillips Dreammaker and the dream mask. Put it all on and feel right asleep (I've never had a hard time falling asleep due to being tired. My wife hates me for that). Felt like I slept way better than I have in years. Woke right up and jumped out of bed. I looked at the info and it said I had 4 central AHI and 4 Obstructive AHI. Min 6.0cmH20 and 8.0cmH2O. Mask fit was 100% with 6 disconnects. Can anyone tell me what all this data means?

About the 6 disconnects - was that 6 times you turned the machine off during the night, perhaps to go to the bathroom?
