IT WORKED!!! Thank you!!!

Post by karensh » Sat Jun 20, 2015 5:29 pm

I just had my first full night without removing my mask during the night!! Thanks to the poster who recommended taping it on to my face. It worked!! I used a sensitive skin tape in the band-aid aisle. Who would have thought such an easy fix would work?? I am just thankful it did!!

Congratulations! That's great! I used to have to tape my oxygen tubing to my face to keep from taking it off when I slept.

that was greyghost4: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=106255&p=1008828#p1008578

often, just the added discomfort of the pull from the tape when you start to remove it is enough to say 'nope, don't do that', and let you carry on sleeping. it sounds strange, but, ... it does often work.

Too bad DME's have such a knee-jerk reaction to the very mention of tape.

maybe they're afraid someone will tape up THEIR mouths, just to stop the lies, of course.

That is great news! And you probably won't have to do it for very long - once you are more used to the machine I think you won't unconsciously try to take it off any more.
