Headache from headgear.

Post by Guest » Fri Mar 13, 2015 6:43 pm

I have the resmed airfit f10 from for the las t month or so and noticed I am getting headaches where the mask is on my nose/cheek and where the headgear is on my head. Has anyone else noticed this and is there a way to combat this? I like the mask and it seems to work better than my nose and pillows masks. I have tried loosening it, but I get leaks. Thoughts?

I got a horrible headache from any stretchy chin strap.
Luckily, there were alternatives.
When I first got the P10, I stretched the headgear around a rolled up towel for a few hours.
It expanded the fabric just enough.
Now, I have to do the opposite, because it is getting too loose too fast.

Loosen it and wear PadaCheek.com liners - they help a lot with leaks (and strap marks).

I have issues finding the right head gear and mask size for my Air Fit F10. The small head gear with a medium mask. Good Luck

Thanks for your thoughts. I tried loosening it, but it leaks. The headgear is also tight where it wraps around the back of my head. I am wondering if there is a large headgear I can use with the medium mask. I have since been using some old pillows which help the headache, but cause pain in my nose and above my lip.

Maybe someone has tried the mesh headgear with this mask.
Either that or the operator at cpap.com could know. (Or read the reviews on the product page.)
