Post by fj40cruzrdude » Mon Nov 03, 2014 3:43 pm

Newbie here got my setup about a 4 days ago and having what looks like the usual mask fit probmems. No problem even with leaks and all I feel much better already. Now im trying to get the mask taking care of through my provider lincare and im not sure if I expect more help than im getting. I stop by let them know what problems im having and the response was the call center will send me a new mask sounds good to me. I ask can I do a mask fit today her response was the call center will the determine mask for me. I asked how do they know what mask and size I need and she shrugged I dont know. Seems kinda odd to me I asked other questions with alot of shrugged shoulders is this what I can expect from a provider. Next question anyone in the salem oregon area know of a place one can try some mask out so I can order myself if necessary. Thanks

You have a Lincare office in Salem, why don't you call them and have them come out to fit you with a mask?
Respironics DreamStation
Pressure = 11.5 min 14.5 max
C-Flex = 1

I'm new here, too, fj40cruzrdude. My doctor's office, where the sleep clinic is located, had quite a few masks available for their patients to try. My doctor fitted me for my first mask at his office. (Then the tech at the DME's fitted me again.) You might try calling your doctor's office or the sleep clinic to see if they offer something similar. Cpap.com might also be another place to look for a mask. They offer free return insurance on many of their masks. The return period is 30 days. I am currently trying out a Tap Pap nasal pillow mask with a mouthpiece. They will need your prescription in order for you to purchase a mask from them. But they contacted my doctor's office for that and then emailed me when they received it. (No I don't work for them. Just a happy customer.) Good luck with your search.
