Puffing Cheeks

Post by prufrock » Thu Sep 04, 2014 7:40 pm

Every cpap bipap nasal pillows to full face under every pressure and humidity - every single time I fall asleep my cheeks puff up with air and wakes me. The only times I do fall asleep I am breathing in spite of it with the machine simply pushing air through my nose on out through my mouth. Any else experience this?

search the forum topics for "chipmunk cheeks" it's common and discussed often and how to prevent it.

Put your tongue to the roof of your mouth and train yourself to hold it there. And, then "pucker"......pretending you're sucking on a lemon drop. That should seal off the back of your mouth to prevent air coming out.
