Resmed Airsense10 Autoset
Resmed Airsense10 Autoset
I was an Resmed Autoset S9 user since they were made, and have owned 2 of them. But had to replace the last one so I went with the new Resmed Airsense10 Autoset. I have had it for about a week. So far I like it because the humidifier seems to work on me much better than the H5i. The Airsense10 is much more quiet compared to my last 2 S9's. I was having a problem falling asleep with the S9, but the Autoramp setting on the Airsense10 seems to be working better for me and I am falling asleep much quicker. My pressure setting is 13 and I start the ramp @9. I do not use the wireless feature. I save the data on the SD and am able to use it with the Resmed software problem free. I'll post more after a few more days of use. But so far the machine seems good to me. I am getting an extra hour or so of sleep most nights. The only complaint I have is the menu screen is too dim to see at night to change/view the settings and I have not found a way to make it brighter

AutoSleep....is that the AutoRamp thing?
Ramp at lower pressure until it senses you are asleep and then it increases to whatever the pressure setting you have and not necessarily based on a set time for ramp like the old way?

dat's da one! I told jedimark that now that the machines are guestimating when you're awake and asleep based on the flow waveform, he best get cracking and add that feature to sleepyhead tooPugsy wrote:AutoSleep....is that the AutoRamp thing?

I bet he does.palerider wrote:he grumbles at me a lot.
Does make a person wonder though...if they can guesstimate sleep onset itself...wonder if the new generations of cpap machines in the future would be able to reasonably guesstimate awake vs asleep to make evaluation of some of the flagged events easier...or heck...maybe not even flag them which would be super cool especially to those people freaking out with AHI's higher because of awake events.
Sigh...probably not something they will do which would help us lowly users and since the "real" customers are the DMES, who barely care beyond hours of use, unlikely something that we will see.
I suppose I could start saving my pennies and try the new AirSense but I don't really want to go back to those higher pressures all the time. The Adapt has me spoiled. Besides...that's a lot of pennies.

I'm sure they'll start showing up on the black market after a bitPugsy wrote: I suppose I could start saving my pennies and try the new AirSense but I don't really want to go back to those higher pressures all the time. The Adapt has me spoiled. Besides...that's a lot of pennies.
