I Get my breathing equipment and breathing machine medicine through them. They are an exceptional and very reliable company. Really Amazing. You'll Love Them. Just Give Them A Try. As for Medicare paying they usually only pay 80% of whatever it cost. They didn't charge me for anything. They also sent me a new nebulizer, several masks, several tubings, filters and my machine meds and didnt charge me anything!

Re: Anyone Know Med-Care Inc?
My brother-in-law uses a CPAP machine provided by Med-Care. He lives in SE Pennsylvania (Pgh area) and my sister told me that' s the only DME supplier their insurance lets them use. He has had the machine a few years now, and doesn't get any additional supplies from them until he calls and asks for them. He doesn't have Medicare, it is another HMO he has, I think.
But I wouldn't do business with anyone who cold-called me. I would call them back and ask to see a copy of this form they say I filled in. Something sounds fishy, HIPAA fines are high because of the privacy necessity and something called the need-to-know, and this sounds like possibly a phishing scam. If someone released your medical info to them without your permission, I would report it, since that is against the law. I would ask them if they contact you again that they give you the name and address of their privacy officer, and make a formal complaint. With identity theft so common these days, it is serious.

I work there. This is a wonderful company, there is no cold calling and these are not sales calls. The only way that anyone can contact you is if you filled out a form or clicked on something to request information for a specific medical supply. They have been in business since 1999. Hope this info helped.

Two year old thread. Business practices change over time.
It is good when they improve---but unexpected.

The truth appears to be revealed, several years down the road
