thank you Julie and OkyDoky, I'll give it a try in the next couple of days (I don't want to do it tonight,
I'm going Zip-lining for the first time tomorrow and I think I would be more comfortable keeping things
the same tonight).
PaleRider, I don't have the Heated Tube, should I still put that in there? I haven't been using the humidifier
because of rainout, even on the lowest setting (I like my air cool)
Last night's readings
Re: Last night's readings
I think turning off ramp will send you directly to 5cm. I don't think ramp makes a lot of difference when the minimum pressure is so low -- since the ramp is just taking you from 4 to 5. (I'm not sure I could tell the difference between 4cm and 5cm.) (I'm not an expert -- I turned ramp off pretty early on because I don't like the really low pressures -- they made me feel a little stuffy.) If you set your range to 6-7 and turn off ramp then you should go straight to 6cm and then the machine should take you to 7cm when it decides that you need to go there -- and take you back down when it decides you don't need it any more. If you spend more time at 7cm and less time under 7cm, you should see your AHI go down, given your experience so far.RuthArt wrote:oh, if I set the ramp to off, would the machine go to 7 right away? Not sure how that works
Re: Last night's readings
it's more of a "60 series with heated hose capability" but they don't word it that way. it IS a 60 series humidifier.RuthArt wrote:PaleRider, I don't have the Heated Tube, should I still put that in there? because the whole equipment list thing is so confusing, if you put the proper (60 series) for a machine, and leave the humidifier as it is,people will get confused as to whether you have a 560 or a 550 machine... though it doesn't matter a lot...

Re: Last night's readings
Palerider, I did change the CPAP listing and put 560 P in my comments....hope that helps.
Re: Last night's readings
still, the 50 series humidifier (which you have listed) and the 60 series humidifier (which you have) are different, and incompatible partsRuthArt wrote:Palerider, I did change the CPAP listing and put 560 P in my comments....hope that helps.

Re: Last night's readings
ok, I now have the humidifier correct with a note in comments No heated tube!

I wish I could go in and simplify the equipment section, and make it more useful and less confusing.... but, *shrug* it's not up to me
