Posting Links

I'm no longer able to copy and paste links in the post box. Is this just me or have I accidently turned something off. When I right click in the box nothing happens but it works elsewhere.

I usually have to do a ctl-v to paste.

Thanks. That worked so I will use it, but I was only right clicking before and don't know why it's not working now. Oh well, not a big problem, just a head scratcher.

On most other forums I can embed links in descriptive text by highlighting the text, and clicking the link tool, and pasting the link. I have seen embedded links here, but I'll be damned if I can create one. Anyone have the secret?

Interested to find out what Sleeprider is talking about.

I also find I'm not able to highlight something in a post and right click to copy if I want to search that phrase elsewhere.
I just switched to IE and the right click worked so it must be something between Chrome and the site. I always used Chrome before and it worked.

An annoyance for me with IE11 and this site is the inability to double-click a word to highlight it (in post mode). I have to manually click and drag.

make sure you don't have an update pending for chrome, sometimes some of the options stop working when there is an update.

Normally not needed. The forum will shorten it on display with ... in it. When you click on the link it will work. You only would do that if you really wanted someone to see the actual link, but in most modern browsers you can right click and copy link address or something like that to get the actual URL.
