Out of breath while using bipap
Ok. So just so I can bipap all the "just use it and you'll get used to it" stuff, I'll say I managed to do so last year for 3/4 of that year. Now I ran into another issue. I started to have more breathing issues last year and then was told it was allergies and asthma. Well they gave me allergy medicine, singulair, nasal spray, and albuteral. And because that didn't help enough I was given Symbicort Thursday and was told it won't work for another 3 weeks. Yesterday my bipap provider changed the settings on my bipap. Used it last night. Same deal. It's like my body is saying the bipap is going to kill me if I wear it where as the doctors insist it will kill me to NOT wear it. I just wish the human body knew what the heck was good for it. It's like damned if I do. Damned if I don't. May seem silly to get mad at your own body, but I'm fed up with it. I wanna live, but it wants to die.

Settle down a bit... First of all, what equipment are you using (full name of machine and model #, mask type) and what are your pressures set at? I take it you don't use software to track your own progress so you'd know where you stand each morning and which features of your sleep were doing what, so you might tweak something to see if it helped?
You can download free software here (let us know if you're interested) and then once done, you could post pix here of the results and we could help you to know what's going on and possibly how to fix it.

As Julie said, more information is needed, and for the moment let's stick with the problems you have with bipap. Are you hyperventilating, or having trouble getting enough air? What was your provider trying to do (what was the gist of your conversation)? Settings are usually changed for a reason.
