I had my first night using the AirFit P10 mask last night, after years of the Swift FX. No noise! No wind blowing on my wife! I could sleep on my side and never experience a leak. Amazing difference, and AHI was one of my lowest ever at 0.67. I'm very impressed. You won't believe the difference.

I'm really looking forward to it! I ordered a heated hose, too, for good measure, which should also help, since I like to sleep in a cold room. --S.

So, I've done two nights, still not sleeping well, but I know that's normal. My concern is that during the day I am feeling a little lightheaded. I've got a fair amount going on at the moment, so it could be coincidental, but it seems worth asking, since I don't recall this happening before. My numbers are good--ahi<2 the first night and <1 last night, APAP average pressure 1st night was 8ish, last night a little higher, but I slept a bit on my back, so I'm guessing that's why.

So, should I be concerned with the lightheadedness? I don't like the feeling.

I often use the analogy that apnea is like drinking, smoking or doing drugs. Low O2, poor sleep, stress, and hormones mess up your brain and metabolism. Your body adjusts in various ways. If you stop having apnea, the adjustments you made may leave you off kilter until your body readjusts.

However, don't assume everything that happens is related to apnea or CPAP either. Us apneacs have the same problems as everyone else.

Having done some reading, it seems more likely that the lightheaded ness is due to the discontinuation of the particular antidepressant I was on, which I now find, many people have a LOT of trouble getting off of, even tapering, etc. We shall see.....
