you should get 0.9.8-1, 9.6 is older and buggier.Islandwoman wrote:Finally decided to download it but only ended up with file folder. Can someone point me to directions for windows 7 please. I know they are here but searching did not get me there. Thanks
there's no installer for either, you just extract the files, then go into the folder and run the sleepyhead exe.
Get OSCAR

Thank you, will do that. I never seem to have much luck with the search box.

what're you searching for?Islandwoman wrote:Thank you, will do that. I never seem to have much luck with the search box.
I often don't have much luck with it either... I get better results many times by going to google and searching for "site:cpaptalk.com whatever" since google indexes cpaptalk.com into their search engine.
if you're looking for the current sleepyhead, see below

Palerider, I find that when searching a phrase in the search box I get a list of posts with any of the individual words listed. I do usually end up using Google where, if needed, I can contain the phrase in quote marks to find only mostly that. Thanks for the extended help.

Re: searching for sleepyhead 9.6 instructions for Win7
Just an add on: After reading what the newest sleepyhead will do I realized I really would not use any of those features and decided to stay with 9.5 for a while. Other that switching from cpap to apap recently(with good results) I am doing well with pretty basic treatment. Most night are under one now and only RERAs and Hypopneas when higher. I just had my cpap one year anniversary and Know I was lucky to find this site and got lots of help to start.

The 9.8 release works a lot better in a number of subtle ways, so I encourage you to get it. However, 9.5 is still pretty good if you don't suffer from any of the important bugs or limitations it has.Islandwoman wrote:Just an add on: After reading what the newest sleepyhead will do I realized I really would not use any of those features and decided to stay with 9.5 for a while. Re: searching for sleepyhead 9.6 instructions for Win7
I did download it and low and behold I now have three active SleepyHead "builds" I guess. Some issues but all are working and have the same data. I do like my newest sheep but wish she had a bell or perhaps a black spot. I have a budding herd on my taskbar now but can tell them apart by position.
I like the graphs but will have to sort out the new " By Pressure" one it will take a little study to understand all the triangles I see.
I am glad I did not give up.
