Sometimes it sounds like a gurgling sound in my hose and it drives me crazy. How can I make it stop

Water in the hose -- reduce humidification setting and/or use a heated hose.

Or possibly lower the machine so it's below the mattress, or raise the hose so it's above the head.

And ignore the used car salesman above me, it's not likely there's anything wrong with the humidifier you already have.

*lol* no kidding, aside from the fact that the h5i is the humidifier, not the hose, and the used car salesman doesn't even know what kind of machine the OP has... *lol*

used car sleazeman is right.

Be sure that you are filling below the max line with your water. Even the slightest mm above will push water down the hose when the blower is turned on.

you make that assumption but the mysterious OP hasn't told us what kind of humidifier they're using.

Raise the hose so that any water in it will run back to the water chamber. Then you need to determine why the water is condensing in your hose. If turning down the humidifier doesn't help using a heated hose can help - just be sure to get one that fits your machine. And w/o knowing which hose is for sale above $25 is not a bad price.
